Life can be so busy, tasks consuming, and time vanishing as if it was never there to begin with. In such times, early mornings are my place of solitude and quiet retreat with God. Before the demands of the day. Before the worries of tomorrow. Before I’m consumed by the responsibilities waiting for me in the next hour. Making time for me to commune with God is a necessity . I invite you to join me on this journey. Press past the demands of each day and make time for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
MATHEW 5:16
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be the light, bringing out God-Colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept, we’re going public with this,…”
As believers, we are lanterns for Christ. Jesus Christ is the light of the world. When you stop to look around, the world we live in can be dark, and has had its dark moments. History teaches us that there are more of those moments to come. However, it is our job as light bearers to shine the light of the Lord in this dark world! We have to carry the light of the Lord with us where ever we go to brighten this dark world we live in. Light brings clarity, direction, and most of all hope for a brighter future and way out. Hopeless individuals should be able to see the hope of Christ glowing within us. Reflecting Jesus Christ to the world is our God given job.
Be careful to guard yourself against the 2 things that will kill your witness and, dim the burning flame of Christ in your life:
- Negligence – Never neglect your personal relationship with the light himself, Christ! Life easily can distinguish our flame. But the burning flame of Christ cannot be extinguished. As long as we stay connected to the ever burning light of the Lord, we can endure anything life throws our way, and encourage others along the way!
- Wrong doing – The bible describes it as sin. Sin dims your flame because it is always accompanied with shame. Sin always brings more than what you bargained for. Thankfully Christ provided the solution to our sin problem. His own death, guaranteed our freedom from sin and shame.
So SHINE BRIGHT, and don’t let anyone or anything dim your light!
